You never know who might visit your garden. Two years ago we had quail hang out in our garden. It was fun watching them until they discovered how good the plants where to eat. So who comes now in the early morning to visit the garden? We haven’t had any of these for several years. I was surprised to find them eating from the lavender and other flowers we had planted. Since they continued to appear consistently we put out a feeder for them. However they still prefer the natural food. In the morning when it is quiet they sit on the tomato cages watching and listening to their surroundings. So who is our little visitor? If you guessed humming birds you are correct. I have always found them fun to watch having grown up with lots of them outside our front door eating from the feeders my parents had. So to see them back in the garden and even having them coming up close to me to watch me work brought back good childhood memories.
